Beginning on January 1, 2024, the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) goes into effect.  Under the CTA many non-exempt companies in the United States, global and small, are required to report information about their beneficial owners, i.e., the individuals who ultimately own or control the company, to the U.S. Treasury’s Financial Crimes and Enforcement Network (FinCen).

Even if your company is not obligated to report, the implementation of this law could affect your operations and require program and policy updates. For example, some special purpose vehicles of privately held holding companies may have to report even though an operating subsidiary is exempt.  Likewise, M&A Due Diligence should ensure targeted companies have met their reporting obligations.  Attend this webinar for a deep dive into the complexities of the CTA law, its implications, and assessing your responsibilities.
