For any business, an accurate and reliable sales forecast is essential for making informed operational decisions and delivering on goals. In the case of one Fortune 100 company operating in more than 180 countries with over 200 brands and more than 18,000 SKUs, having a more accurate, efficient, and granular forecast unlocked opportunities for cost savings and better resource allocation. They were able to transform their in-year sales forecasting system from a manual, highly localized process to an automated, hybrid model that leverages a central machine learning based engine. Attendees acquire strategies for producing a standardized forecast starting point for multiple markets that allow their local teams to retain the ability to layer on market-specific insights. Discussion also includes proven tactics for developing models and building trust with business end-users.
