For many, networking means solely connecting with other professionals outside the organization at conferences and association events.    However, to be successful within your organization, an internal networking strategy is also useful for making meaningful contributions and creating new opportunities.  Networking internally and externally without a plan is like hopping on a spaceship to the moon with no training. In this session, you will learn how to change the words you say and your strategic thinking to make every second of networking count. This session includes a hands-on lesson on creating a catchy introduction. Participants learn to diagram their network like they do a new project and create meaningful, connections that produce real results.

Learning Objectives

  • Practice developing an introduction that generates interest and attention.
  • Recognize open versus closed networks and the steps to create an open,
  • dynamic network.
  • Learn valuable lessons for getting the most from every event.
