Course Description:
This self-paced ESG Training Series covers climate transition risk, green bonds, and responsible investing.
This first module on Introduction to Responsible Investing explores sustainable investing, focusing on ESG terminology and key concepts, incorporation into investment processes, and regulatory implications. With consumer demand driving growth in responsible investing, understanding this evolving landscape is essential for assessing investment risks and opportunities accurately.
The second module Climate Transition Risks covers two main sections: the importance of climate transition and incorporating it into investment processes. As an investor, grasping the myriad issues associated with climate change is crucial, as they can impact financial performance. Considering climate risks is essential for evaluating potential negative effects on asset prices and market valuation, while also identifying investment opportunities that address climate change effects.
The final module introduces Green Bonds and ESG debt market dynamics through case studies, reflecting the significant growth in this sector. Understanding Green Bond principles and their impact is vital as this market expands.

Chin Liu is a Managing Director, Portfolio Manager, Director of Insurance-Linked Securities, and Director of Fixed Income Solutions at Amundi US. As Director of Insurance Linked Securities he has day-to-day responsibilities that include the management of our dedicated ILS strategies and leads the investment efforts of the team. He is also responsible for structuring and implementing custom Insurance-Linked Securities strategies for the firm’s diversified fixed income portfolios. This responsibility encompasses working closely with our insurance and reinsurance partners, quantitative analysis of insurance perils using largescale simulation models, development of market-specific valuation intelligence, interacting with our fundamental analysts, and construction of risk-appropriate ILS portfolios.
As Director of Fixed Income Solutions, Chin leads a team that develops customized investment solutions, fixed income ESG/Responsible Investing research, and high-quality, proprietary analytics to support the fixed income team. As a practitioner, Chin has also developed portfolio hedging strategies via derivatives markets, researched and developed security-level and market level econometric forecasting models, and built fair value screening tools for the government and corporate credit markets.
Prior to joining Amundi US, Chin worked as a quantitative equity analyst for Numeric Investors, and as a Customer Investment Researcher for E Trade Financial. Chin received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China in 2000, and his M.S. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University in 2006.

Annie Chor Joyce is Managing Director and Head of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), US for Amundi US. She is responsible for driving the ESG strategic direction for the US market and US ESG expertise exported to overseas markets. She collaborates closely with global ESG teams, investment management, marketing, and distribution across the firm globally, as well as with external partners. She is a member of the US Executive Committee, US Management Committee, and US Operating Committee.
Annie has been extensive experience in the financial markets and sustainable investing, working with institutional and wealth investors across the impact investing spectrum in both public and private markets. She joined Amundi US from MSCI Inc., ESG Research, where she led MSCI’s fixed income ESG coverage and worked closely with institutional clients on integrating ESG and climate strategies across their enterprise, investment decision-making, and product development activities. Previously, Annie worked at several impact-driven organizations, including Social Finance, a national impact finance and advisory non-profit, Éclat Impact, an impact investing fintech startup, and the World Economic Forum. Prior to this, she worked at Barclays Capital in Global Markets.
Annie is a member of the Investment Committee for the Phi Beta Kappa Foundation. She is a Fulbright scholar and holds a Dual MBA and Master of Advanced Management degree from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain and Yale University School of Management. She earned a B.S. in Finance with Minors in International Studies and Human Development from Boston College.
Romina is an active member of and contributor to the Green and Social Bond Principles. Romina started her career in equity and interest rate derivative structuring. Romina holds a BBA from the University of Michigan at the Ross School of Business.
